A non-league FA Cup hero once scored eight goals in a single Euro qualifier.
Lorent Tolaj will be looking to fire National League Aldershot to another cup upset when they take on League Two leaders Stockport County on Sunday. Tolaj hit a brace as the Shots incredibly won 7-4 at another fourth-tier side, Swindon Town, in the first round last month. The visitors had been 7-0 up before a late rally from the Robins.
Overall, the Swiss star, who left Brighton in the summer, has 11 goals this season as he looks to help Aldershot back to the Football League. The 22-year-old has also been prolific at international level.

At under-19 level, Tolaj incredibly hit eight goals in one European Championship qualifier as Gibraltar were thumped 16-1. It was a record for the most goals in one game by a single player in a Euro U19 qualifier.
Whatever happens against Stockport, it is unlikely to be as epic as the 11-goal extravaganza against Swindon. Manager Tommy Widdrington admitted it was a “barmy” game.

“It was a bit of an unreal situation,” said the former Southampton midfielder. “I was probably the only person supporting Aldershot who didn’t celebrate the first goal because I have done that before and it has really kicked me in the backside.
“We have been 2-0 up at half-time in games before and not gone on to win, so we knew we had to give Swindon the utmost respect in the game.

“I have nothing but praise for the lads and the people that have come to this game in their hundreds. I am delighted for them as I am aware they have had some hard times of late and this is something to remember, it is a scoreline that you can’t ignore.
