Premier League Q&A: All the latest news from Manchester United

Premier League Q&A: All the latest news from Manchester United, plus updates on Crystal Palace, West Ham and Liverpool

Mail Sport’s Chris Wheeler, Sami Mokbel, Kieran Gill, and Lewis Steele answer all the big questions regarding Manchester United, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Liverpool on Wednesday October 4.

Q: Why were so many away fans in the home section last night? Where did they get their tickets from? From @dannyjbradders, via Twitter

CHRIS WHEELER: I really don’t know but it has to be a concern, particularly given the reputation of the Galatasaray fans and some of the scenes witnessed outside Old Trafford as they made their way to the ground.

I didn’t see any trouble inside the stadium and we are sat very close to the away fans.

But you’re right, a large number of fans in the South Stand made their way over to celebrate with their compatriots after the final whistle and that is a worry.

Q:What's wrong with United? Is Erik losing the dressing room? Address the main problem with the squad please. From @iamchibuchi, via Twitter

CHRIS WHEELER: Where do we start?! So much seems to have gone wrong so far this season in a way we could never have foreseen.

Injuries have definitely played a big part – 16 different players have been out at any point since pre-season including new signings Hojlund, Mount, Amrabat and Reguilon.

The loss of so many defenders and not having a settled back-four have been particularly damaging. Then there are the off-the-field issues surrounding Antony and Sancho.

Some of the confidence and unity built last season has certainly been lost, but I don’t get the impression he’s losing the dressing-room – with the possible exceptions of Sancho and Maguire!

I think United aren’t as strong mentally. They struggle to keep a lead and seem to fall apart when they concede.

It wasn’t all doom and gloom for United… although it won’t feel that way this morning for supporters.
