Manchester United misfit Jadon Sancho has returned to training at Carrington after his feud with manager Erik ten Hag – who dropped him over his ‘training performance’ for their 3-1 loss to Arsenal earlier this month.
Sancho hit back at the Dutchman after his comments and claimed his words were ‘completely untrue’, saying he had been made to be a ‘scapegoat’ at Old Trafford during his difficult spell since his £73million move in 2021.
And after taking some time away from United during the international break, the 23-year-old winger has now been spotted back at the club ahead of their home game against Brighton on Saturday.
Sancho cut a glum figure after being spotted in his Mercedes as he arrived through the gates at the club’s training complex, putting his hood up to hide from the cameras as he bids to find clarity over his future and put the spat behind him.
Sancho’s future at United looks in huge doubt after Ten Hag’s blunt words when explaining why the player was not involved in the defeat to the Gunners, saying: ‘Jadon, on his performances in training we did not select him.

The winger posted a tweet claiming that the comments made by Ten Hag were untrue
‘You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United and we can make choices in the front line. So for this game he was not selected.’
Sancho immediately sought to clarify his comments, claiming they were ‘completely untrue’
‘Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is (sic) completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.
‘I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, l’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair! ‘All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.
‘I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and (am) grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge.

Sancho had been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia and Al-Ettifaq, with Steven Gerrard’s men making a move to sign him. However, the Saudi Pro League side refused to meet Sancho’s asking price, as revealed by Mail Sport.
His former club Borussia Dortmund has also been mooted as a possible destination in January after the Germans reportedly lined up a shock loan move – two years since he left for Old Trafford.
Sancho and Ten Hag were understood to be preparing for face-to-face talks this week in a bit to ease tensions and clear the air, while also giving the player more insight about his future under the coach.
Sancho is yet to make a start for United this season and has played just three times as a substitute – featuring for a total of 77 minutes in the Premier League.
Sancho’s future at Manchester United is uncertain after failing to make a start this season
His return to training comes at a time when Ten Hag is revamping his rules at Carrington – having ordered his players to stay at sessions for longer each day in order to improve performance.
Rather than head home for lunch after training, players are now being told to stay at Carrington to make use of their newly-revamped canteen, leaving at around 2pm now.
The development is not thought to have caused any issues with players yet, who would reportedly frequent local fine-dinging establishments instead.
Head chef Omar Meziane was brought in from the FA earlier this year, and is thought to have been a key part of Ten Hag’s drive to improve his players’ nutrition.
United face Brighton on Saturday afternoon looking to get back to winning ways after a mixed start to their season that has seen them lose twice and win twice – albeit unconvincingly against Wolves and Nottingham Forest.
