Tottenham forward Manor Solomon will miss a minimum of two months after suffering a serious knee injury.

The Israel international has damaged his medial collateral ligament and is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Solomon arrived at Spurs from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer following a successful loan spell at Fulham last season.

The news arrives as a major blow to Ange Postecoglou after what has been an excellent start to the season.

Solomon has made six appearances since his arrival in the summer.

The 24-year-old featured in Tottenham’s 2-1 victory against Liverpool on Saturday, coming on to play 22 minutes in place of Son Heung-min.

He joins a growing injury list at the north London club that includes new signing Brennan Johnson and Rodrigo Bentancur.

Ivan Perisic has also been ruled out for some time with a knee ligament injury, while Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso have both sidelined with hamstring issues.

Last season, Solomon also suffered a knee injury while the former Shakhtar winger was on loan with Fulham.

The set-back came during a behind-closed doors match and required surgery, ruling the Israel international out for the first three months of the 2022-23.

He returned to play for Marco Silva’s side after the Qatar World Cup, going on to make 24 appearances for the cottagers last season, before moving to Spurs.

Solomon underwent surgery on a knee injury last season while he was on loan at Fulham. That set-back ruled him out for the first three months of the 2022-23 season
