Tennis star Alexander Zverev will get the chance to watch his Bayern Munich heroes up close and personal after spending big at his own evening gala on Tuesday night.
The 26-year-old, who is a huge Bayern fan, hosted the Alexander Zverev Foundation’s evening gala at the Hotel Tannenhof in Weiler, Germany, in a bid to raise money for children and young people with diabetes, having suffered from Type 1 of the condition since he was four.
One of the prizes on offer was the ultimate Bayern experience, and he splashed out €9,000 (£8,000) to ensure he got his hands on it.
The experience will give him full access to the Bayern squad for their Champions League clash with Manchester United next month.
Zverev will travel on the same plane as the players, be allowed to watch their full final training session in Manchester – the media only get to see 15 minutes – before watching Harry Kane and Co take on the Red Devils at Old Trafford.

After the match, the Olympic champion and former US Open finalist will then get to share a banquet with Bayern’s stars, a tradition for the German giants after Champions League away games.
Bayern have won all four of their matches in Europe this season to seal their place in the knockout stages with two games to spare.
But United still have plenty to play for as Erik ten Hag’s men currently sit bottom of Group A after losing three of their four fixtures.
They will likely need to beat Bayern on December 12 to have a chance of progressing to the last 16, but Julian Nagelsmann’s side will be hoping to finish the group stages on a high to cement themselves as one of the favourites for this year’s competition.
Zverev will be on hand to watch them go about their work, and his generous contribution on Tuesday night played a part in a successful night for his foundation.
The evening gala raised a total of €101,500 (£88,000), with Zverev posing alongside his brother Mischa and manager Thomas Kopp for a picture with the cheque afterwards.
