Chelsea were held to a goalless draw by Hacken in their women’s Champions League group stage clash at Stamford Bridge on Thursday.

The Blues had the chance to leapfrog the Swedish side to top spot in Group D but couldn’t break Hacken’s resolve as the visitors held firm across 90 minutes.

Emma Hayes’ side managed five shots on target but were repelled by goalkeeper Jennifer Falk who stood firm between the sticks.

Superstar striker Sam Kerr led Chelsea’s attack but struggled to break Hacken’s defence as the opponents sat deep to lock out and gain a vital point.

The result ensures Chelsea remain second in their Champions League group, two-points behind Hacken and still with just one win in the European competition.
