Ex-Man Utd sensation who turned down Mourinho’s offer now without club aged 27

Former Manchester United youngster Josh Harrop now finds himself without a club aged 27.

The attacking midfielder worked his way through the Red Devils' youth ranks and made his senior debut on the final day of the 2016/17 season – getting himself on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win against Crystal Palace.

But the then 21-year-old turned down the offer a new contract to keep working under Jose Mourinho and instead left in search of regular first-team minutes, joining Championship side Preston North End.

"I had a few loans and some injuries here and there. Nothing crazy, but little things which slowed my progress. That's why, when I left Preston, I wanted to focus on my body and get myself right so I could go and do what I know I'm capable of and that's where I feel like I am now.

He played just twice for the Cobblers last season as they earned promotion from League Two, as injury issues once again came back to haunt him.
