Manchester United fans believe Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo got away with the same challenge Marcus Rashford was sent off for.
The Japanese midfielder was given the run-around by the Ligue 1 side in the Reds’ 3-2 defeat in the Europa League. However, United fans think his evening should have been cut short when he caught Toulouse forward Thijs Dallinga on the ankle with his studs.
Twenty-four hours earlier, Rashford was given a red card in United’s damning 4-3 defeat to Copenhagen in the Champions League, after he accidentally studded Elias Jelert on the side of his shin. After comparing Rashford’s challenge with Endo’s clumsy tackle, United fans were left seeing red.

“So this just happened in the Liverpool game but no red card, same incident Rashford got a red card for yesterday. Different rules for Manchester United,” said one United fan.
“Amazed they didn’t freeze frame the studs in the leg & send the ref to the VAR monitor – nice consistency,” another fan sarcastically added. A third said: “Something has to be done, it’s too inconsistent. The only consistency is that United get screwed over and over again.”

“You’ve got to be s****ing me….clear agenda against United,” a fourth said before a fifth tweeted: “You couldn’t write it. Utd most likely going out of the CL because a red was given for a near identical challenge last night. Ridiculous.”
United are rock bottom of their group after losing three of their four group games. They are in desperate need of a victory away to Galatasaray, but they may also need a win against Bayern Munich, who secured their progression into the round of 16 by winning all of their group matches.
Meanwhile, Liverpool will have to wait to secure their place in the knockout stages. They are still three points clear of second placed Toulouse in Group E with two games left to play.
Klopp’s side take on LASK at Anfield on November 30 to ensure their progression into the next round.
