Manchester United are reportedly ready to bring David de Gea back to the club after replacing him with Andre Onana in the summer.
The Spaniard has not yet found a new home following the end of his time at Old Trafford after 12 Premier League seasons with the club. The update comes following struggles for Onana, despite his heroics against Copenhagen in the Champions League.
United are set to be left short in the goalkeeping department should Onana join up with the Cameroon national team for the Africa Cup of Nations between January and February – which could lead to an embarrassing U-turn.
