Neymar slams claims he ‘wants Al-Hilal manager sacked’ as ‘lies’ and ‘fake news’

Neymar has angrily rejected claims he has fallen out with his manager at Al-Hilal manager – branding them ‘lies’ and ‘fake news’.

The Brazilian icon joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal from PSG in a deal worth around £75million only last month. But, according to several reports, the relationship has already turned sour.

Spanish outlet Diario Sport said Neymar was very unhappy and had even asked club bosses to sack manager Jorge Jesus, who reportedly accused the 31-year-old of having a ‘bad attitude’. The fiqueiputomesmo_ Instagram account repeated the claims, which drew a fiery reaction from Neymar himself.

In response to the report, he fumed: “Lies… Y'all got to stop believing these things, pages like this… with millions of followers you can't keep posting fake news! With all due respect in the world, I ask you to stop this. This is a lot of disrespect.”

The alleged falling out came after Al-Hilal's disappointing draw with Uzbekistani outfit Navbahor Namangan in the AFC Champions League last week. Neymar was seen shoving an opponent and booting the ball at him following an on-field altercation.

English fans will perhaps best remember him for stints at Benfica, Sporting Lisbon and Fenerbahce. He joined Al-Hilal in July, having previously managed the club between June 2018 and January 2019.
