Sergio Aguero had no reason to duck interviews during his time at Manchester City.
That's according to former Etihad team-mate Micah Richards, who claims the Argentine ace 'lied' about not being able to speak English. Aguero was rarely interviewed during his time in England with the suggestion that he couldn't speak the language.
Though Richards, who was Aguero's team-mate for a spell at City, insists that's codswallop. And even says the ex-Barcelona star knew plenty of English slang.

Speaking on a recent episode of The Rest Is Football, Richards said: "Aguero was lying! When they was asking him to do interviews, he was saying 'I don't speak English'.
"He spoke brilliant English, knew exactly what the slang terms were. He knew all the terminologies.
"Of course speaking with your friends and having an interview is two different things. But he just played on that so much and he got away with it.
"Muggins like me, James Milner, Joleon Lescott, all the English lads had to do the media because Kun just basically said 'I don't speak no English'."
Though it doesn't seem Aguero was necessarily lying as much as Richards believes.
The ex-striker needed Cesc Fabregas's help after Manchester City won the Champions League this summer with Aguero seemingly forgetting how to speak English.

Asked by Jake Humphrey what the result meant for City fans, Aguero turned to Fabregas and gave his answer in Spanish.
The ex-Chelsea and Arsenal star took translating in his stride, saying: "He was very proud about being here as well because he is one of the players that started off everything. And he just feels so privileged about the whole process and he now gets emotional to think of the whole thing.
"And obviously, two years ago, they lost the final and they were disappointed. But they bounce back and are here again and finally win and it shows that the whole process was worth it."
