Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored his 50th Premier League goal to give Everton a crucial 1-0 win at West Ham as they remembered Bill Kenwright.
The in-form forward turned his markers on the edge of the area and fired into the corner after 51 minutes to give the Toffees the advantage.
West Ham largely had the better of the possession and created chances for Jarrod Bowen but it was Everton who were more incisive.
Jack Harrison could have scored on a couple of occasions in the first half and Abdoulaye Doucoure saw his one-on-one chance saved on the hour mark by Alphonse Areola.
Everton claimed their fourth win in six games while West Ham remain winless in four.
