Bryce Mitchell reassured fans he was healthy after suffering a seizure in the wake of his brutal knockout by Josh Emmett.
Mitchell, who had only taken the fight at two weeks’ notice, made a promising start to the contest, only to be on the receiving end of a devastating right hand in the first round of their bout at UFC 296 in Las Vegas.
The punch not only ended the fight in an instant, it also triggered a medical emergency as Mitchell could be convulsing, with cameras cut away from ‘Thug Nasty’ as medics rushed to his aid. He eventually walked out of the octagon on unsteady legs.
